Dr.
David R. Stemp
Dr. David R Stemp is a 5th generation
Tacoma native. He has been in practice here at Cascade Chiropractic
and Massage since 1998. For several years he worked with his mother
and fellow chiropractor Dr. Susan Strobel. Recently Dr. David has
begun working closely with his father and fellow chiropractor Dr.
Larry Stemp. Dr. David also has a twin brother who is a practicing
chiropractor in nearby Lakewood. Chiropractic runs deep in the
Stemp family and has allowed Dr. David the opportunity to hone his
practice skills along side two of the most gifted chiropractors in
the area.
Growing up in a Chiropractic family meant life was a
bit different from his friends. Dr. David’s parents understood that
health was not to be taken for granted. They made sure he and his
brothers ate a very natural diet, got plenty of exercise, and
practiced positive thinking. The rewards of their chiropractic
lifestyle were plentiful. Dr. David and his brothers didn’t get the
“normal” childhood diseases; no ear infections, no asthma, no
anxiety or hyperactivity disorders. This also meant no need to take
drugs, no need to visit the medical doctor, and no missed days of
school. Dr. David has taken those lessons and passed them on to his
own family as well as the patients he cares for each and every day.
Dr. David married his college
sweetheart , Katie, in 1999.
Together they have two beautiful boys, Danny and Jonas.
The boys attend school in Fircrest where Dr. David is active in the
PTA, Kiwanis, local politics, and the Fircrest Golf Club. He also
keeps busy with swimming, biking, hiking, camping, golfing, and
anything his kids are up to. Dr. David attended Clover Park High,
Central Washington University, and Life University in Atlanta,
Georgia.
Dr. David feels
very strongly that chiropractic is the future of healthcare.
Chiropractors are the champions of the wellness lifestyle model.
Dr. David has spent hundreds of hours in postgraduate classes
learning to simplify the message of wellness and the chiropractic
lifestyle. He regularly puts on wellness workshops in the office to
help patients harness their health potential. He has also spent
countless hours learning techniques in adjusting everyone from the
newborn baby to the 97-year-old great grandmother.
